Meet our Founder

The Chemistry Academy was founded by Kimberley AKA Miss Ross back in 2020 when the schools across the country closed due to COVID-19. 

Determined to continue to teach and engage her pupils during the school closures, she bought a small whiteboard and started recording lessons in her spare room.

This became the birth of The Chemistry Academy.

Realising she had a love for creating digital learning content and enjoyed the challenge of making it engaging, she's kept it going ever since.

​Education Background:

  • Crashed Higher Chemistry in S6

  • Graduated from University of Strathclyde in 2014 with a Masters in Pure and Applied Chemistry

  • Started on the Morgan Stanley Graduate Scheme in 2014

  • Decided to pursue her passion for teaching and Graduated with her PGDE Chemistry with Science in 2016

  • Has been a passionate educator ever since.
