FAQs

1. What levels of SQA chemistry is the course delivered for?

There are two levels of the exam prep course: National 5 and Higher. Choose the level of SQA chemistry you are studying when you enrol and you'll be sent all the info you need to join the right class for you. If you are studying Advanced Higher, you can join my Advanced Higher Chemistry Google Classroom for revision resources to help you prepare for your SQA exam.

2. When will the sessions be posted?

The sessions will be made available every Monday and/or Thursday morning at 8:00 AM between the 12th of January and the SQA Chemistry exams on the 12th of May. Once posted, you can access and complete them at a time that works best for you during the week.

3. What is included in each session?

Each session contains three key components:

  • Pre-recorded tutorial: A detailed, easy-to-follow video lesson covering the topic.

  • Summary notes: Concise notes for you to copy, reinforcing the key points from the tutorial.

  • SQA-inspired quiz: A quiz based on exam-style questions to test your understanding and put your learning into practice.

4. How do the quizzes work?

After watching the tutorial and coping your notes you will complete a google form quiz. Once you submit your answers you’ll receive immediate feedback, helping you understand what you got right and where you may need improvement. I will also review your answers independently and provide additional guidance and feedback to further support your learning and exam technique.

5. Can I ask questions if I need help?

Absolutely! You can message me at any time via Google Classroom if you have questions or need clarification on any part of the course. I’ll respond as soon as possible to help you.

6. Do I have to complete the sessions on the same day they’re posted?

No, you don’t need to complete the sessions on the same day they are posted. You can work through the material at your own pace during the week and fit it around your schedule.

7. Will there be additional support throughout the course?

Yes! In addition to the tutorial, notes, and quiz, I’ll be providing ongoing feedback and support to ensure you’re progressing. Feel free to reach out whenever you need extra help with the material or exam strategies.

8. How do I access the course content?

All course materials, including the tutorials, notes, and quizzes, will be available through Google Classroom. Once you're enrolled, you’ll receive a 'Get Started' Guide via email. Make sure to check your junk folder for this just incase it ends up in there.
